If you want a small, well-designed Windows laptop with a great screen and webcam, this Zenbook should be worth your consideration. After a week of use, I believe it’s more than enough to get you through a day on campus or in the office, but it can’t match the performance or battery life of competing ultraportables.
Nonetheless, the beautiful screen and excellent portability make it a great little machine for getting basic work done, watching movies, and playing simple games. The webcam is pretty good, too, making it great for remote work and video conferencing.
However, if you want a portable computer for demanding work or serious gaming, you might want to pick up a more powerful computer from our list of the best laptops on the market. In my experience, the 1080p webcam built into the top bezel of the Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED display works pretty well. I was impressed with how well it impressed me during weekly video calls with colleagues, and I never heard any complaints from them about the quality of my audio.
There’s also an IR sensor in the camera module so you can take advantage of Windows Hello, which lets you log into your PC with your face once you’ve set up facial recognition. Aside from utility apps like Intel Unison and Realtek Audio Console, the software you’ll want to keep an eye on is MyAsus.

A sharp webcam, a beautiful display, and an excellent array of ports (for a 13-inch laptop) make it a solid laptop for getting work done on the go, especially given the attractive design and incredible lightness. In my opinion, it replaces the current Dell XPS 13 as my top recommendation for Windows fans looking for a MacBook Air competitor.
