According to a new tweet from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone 16 Pro will maintain the $999 price point that was first introduced with the iPhone X in 2017.

This contradicts a report last week that said the starting price of the iPhone 16 Pro will rise to $1,099 with 256GB of storage by default. Last year, Apple made a similar price increase for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, removing 128GB of storage and raising the base price from $1,099 to $1,199. However, this year’s iPhone 16 Pro should still cost $999 and may still use the same 128GB of storage as before.

Gurman also said that the narrowing of the bezels is “very obvious” andiPhone 16 Pro Smartphone Batterylife should be improved across the board. AI and the A18 chip will also be a focus of tomorrow’s keynote. The rumored new “shoot button” should come to all four models, not just the Pro models.

The battery life improvement will certainly be highly appreciated, asiPhone batterysizes have remained relatively stable over the past few years. The last time Apple made a major advancement in battery was with the iPhone 13 Pro battery and iPhone 13 Pro Max battery in 2021.

Are you more tempted to upgrade your iPhone now that the price won’t increase? Does the increase in iPhone batterylife sound tempting? Let us know in the comments.

We’ll be covering the Apple event extensively on 9to5Mac starting tomorrow morning. The keynote will begin at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET, and you can watch it on the Apple website, the Apple TV app, or YouTube.
