The iPhone 16 series went on sale this Friday with new camera controls and action buttons, as well as a new ultra-wide-angle camera – with four times the resolution (48MP) on the Pro version and autofocus on the regular version. Of course, all four phones come with Apple Intelligence AI, but this feature is not yet ready – it will only be launched in India (at least in English) next year.

Here are the four new iPhone models. The regular version still uses 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch 60Hz displays, the same as the 2023 models. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have become larger, with their displays now measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively. The two Pros also have a new 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The smaller Pro also has the same 5x 12MP periscope as the Pro Max (the 15 Pro has a 3x telephoto lens).

As usual, Apple has discontinued the old Pro models, but the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are still on sale. They have chipsets two generations behind, less RAM, and so won’t be updated with Apple Intelligence. Other than that, the only other major difference is the new camera controls and action buttons that all 16-series models have. We’ll briefly touch on some Android deals as well

Note that the Galaxy M35 will be part of the Great Indian Festival (GIF). Between new bank offers and coupons, its price could drop to Rs 13,750, so you might want to hold off on buying it. The Tecno Pova 6 Neo 5G was launched last week. This is an affordable 5G phone with a 108MP camera, but naturally some cuts had to be made. The Dimensity 6300 chipset’s performance isn’t impressive, and the 6.67-inch 120Hz IPS LCD only has HD+ resolution. Oh, and the 108MP camera is basically the only one on the back. 5,000mAh

The Pova 6 Neo 5G will also be part of the GIF sale, with prices advertised as low as Rs 12,750. However, current discounts and bank offers will let you buy it this week.
