New design for a more comfortable fit

life of the AirPods 4 with ANC is quite limited. ANC will drain the battery, so it makes sense that these earphones have a shorter battery life than the standard AirPods 4. But at 4 hours of continuous listening with ANC on, they have the shortest AirPods 4 battery life of any earphone I’ve tested recently. To be fair, it’s probably not often that you’ll wear the earphones for more than 4 hours at a time. But if you’re constantly putting the earphones in and out of the case, there’s a good chance they won’t fully charge between uses and will slowly drain. The charging case gives the earphones an additional 16 hours of use with ANC on, for a total listening time of 20 hours. That’s not bad, but again, not great.
Of course, the fact that the earphones have wireless charging does soften the blow a bit. Wireless charging is very convenient for earphones like this. That being said, unlike the AirPods 3, the AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation can’t be charged with a MagSafe charger. This is actually because theApple AirPods Headphones Battery
The charging case is too small for the magnets to align properly. You can still place them on any Qi charger that doesn’t rely on magnets to hold the device in place, and they can still be charged with an Apple Watch puck. I’m not quite sure how I feel about the lack of MagSafe, as that’s actually how I charge my AirPods Pro quite often. But I guess portability is more important for a product like this. Unlike the basic AirPods 4, the AirPods 4 with ANC also have a speaker built into the charging case. This is to help you find the charging case more easily when using the “Find” feature to find the charging case, but it also makes a small sound to indicate charging, etc. Apple has done a good job of improving the sound quality of the AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with ANC. It really makes a big difference. The earphones offer deeper bass response and better high-end clarity and detail, making for a more exciting and impactful listening experience. The bass response is deeper and rounder than before, which helps a lot. This change means that the kick drum will stand out better in the mix, while bass synths and guitars will sound fuller and deeper. If you don’t really need those Apple-centric features, though, it’s worth considering alternatives like the Nothing Ear earbuds, which are among my favorite wireless earbuds, and the AirPods, which offer longer Apple AirPods Headphones Battery
life, slightly better sound quality, and a slew of other great features for $149.
