I tested the Fly More combo and the RC-2 controller, which has a bright 5.5-inch 1080P 700-nit touchscreen. The detachable joystick is comfortable and responsive, even during extended use. The RC-2 has four antennas that transmit clear, low-latency images up to a range of 31.42 miles. The Air 3S has a flight noise level of 80 decibels, similar to the Air 3 and other DJI drones.
The Air 3S has an ActiveTrack 360° feature, which basically lets you drag the frame around your subject on the RC-2 touchscreen and move it while keeping the subject in the center of the photo. The DJI Air 3S can fly for 45 minutes on a single charge. That’s a minute less than the Air 3’s 46 minutes and a minute less than the Mavic 3 Classic, but longer than the Mavic Air 2 (34 minutes, $799) and Air 2S (31 minutes, $1,000).
