The Mi 12T and 12T Pro will be released on October 4, and in addition to this, Xiaomi will also announce the Redmi Pad, which was leaked by the company’s Kuwait branch last week. Thanks to leaked images from Xiaomi Kuwait and other sources, we know what the Redmi Pad will look like. Now, WinFuture’s new leak leaves little room for imagination, as it reveals the full specs of the Redmi Pad and shows us the tablet in three colors – Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green.
The publication claims that the Xiaomi Redmi Pad will be powered by the Helio G99 SoC and come with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It will run Android 12-based MIUI out of the box and feature a 2,000x, 1,200-pixel resolution 10.61-inch 90Hz LCD. The panel will have 10-bit color depth and 400 nits of peak brightness.
The Redmi Pad has two cameras onboard: an 8MP camera on the rear and an 8MP unit on the front with a 105° FOV. Sources say the 8MP front-facing camera will feature FocusFrame technology, which switches the camera to a wider FOV when there are several people in front of the device.
Other rumored specs for the Redmi Pad include Dolby Atmos certified quad speakers and an 8,000 mAh battery with 18W charging. However, the bundled adapter will do 22.5W. The tablet is 7mm thick and weighs 445 grams.
If you’ve seen previous leaks, you must have noticed the difference in screen and battery size, as these leaks claim that the Redmi Pad will feature an 11.2-inch LCD and a 7,800 mAh battery. Then again, today’s leak refers to the Wi-Fi-only model, we’re also expecting the cellular model, which could be the one with an 11.2-inch screen and a 7,800 mAh battery.
The Redmi Pad is expected to cost under 250 euros in Europe, while the cellular version is expected to cost between 250 and 350 euros.
