While many users with bricked phones are still waiting for an official solution to the problem, BLU Products forgot about the chaos caused by the latest OTA update and quietly launched the Life One X3 mid-range phone.
As you may already know, BLU Products’ success ended last month due to a disaster. In late November, the US company, which sells affordable unlocked phones powered by MediaTek processors, released a corrupt software update that bricked many BLU smartphones. While an official announcement beyond the copy-paste Facebook reply stage is yet to come, BLU Products has quietly launched a successor to the Life One X2, one of the models affected by the mentioned update.
The BLU Life One X3 is a 5.5-inch smartphone with a Full HD display and is powered by the large BLU Life One X3 batterywith a capacity of 5,000 mAh. If we put aside the rather outdated MediaTek MT6753 processor, other specifications are not bad for a mid-range phone: 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, microSD support up to 64 GB, 13 MP main camera, 13 MP selfie camera, micro USB 2.0, 4G LTE/WiFi/Bluetooth 4.0/GPS. Both cameras come with LED flash and there is also a front-facing fingerprint reader.The “Buy Now” button on the official product page doesn’t lead anywhere yet, so the price of the Life One X3 remains a mystery for now.
We should also add that the phone comes with Android Nougat and Android Oreo, which may one day be available as updates. However, we recommend that those who will be getting a Life One X3 wait for a while before applying any updates to BLU products. After all, it’s better to get a late update than to have a “blue” heart and a bricked phone.
