“Move to iOS” can now migrate your entire WhatsApp history from Android to iPhone

After testing, the ability to transfer your full WhatsApp chat history from an Android phone to an iPhone is available in an update to Apple’s Move to iOS app.

This means that all your photos, videos, voice messages and chats after you install WhatsApp can now be moved and vice versa.

It’s a feature that users have been asking for for a long time, and as before, you had to manually transfer content to your iPhone, or use a third-party app on your laptop. However, Apple and Meta have apparently figured out a way to make this work on Move to iOS, which is available as a free download on the Google Play Store. That means less headaches when someone wants to switch from iPhone to Android and vice versa.

Analysis: The long-awaited feature
Transferring and transferring phone data from an old phone to a new phone and WhatsApp is always a challenge to make sure everything goes from one device to another. Sometimes a single file has to be transferred over bluetooth from one Android device to another, or if it’s from Android to iOS, I’ll try to transfer the media, but admit defeat, transferring chat history is next to impossible.

Thanks to this update for Move to iOS, this is no longer an issue. Now it’s just an additional step in the app when you transfer contacts and other personal data.

WhatsApp has stated in the post that you must update your Android phone to at least version 5, and your new iPhone to iOS 15.5, and the latest WhatsApp version on your Android device.
