With 315 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection points, it focuses quickly and reliably, and can quickly focus on eyes, faces, or anywhere you choose via the touchscreen. Move up and down, side to side, forward and backward, and the ZV-1 will easily keep up. You can pair the ZV-1 with a companion app so you can control the camera from your smartphone, but this really doesn’t help much if your hands are already full of the camera.
