This Windows laptop converts into an Android tablet. The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid (Station & Tab) is a true 2-in-1 laptop that combines a 14-inch Windows laptop and an Android tablet in a very interesting form factor. You can detach the screen of this laptop and use it as an Android tablet. Or you can press a button on the keyboard to instantly switch between Windows laptop and Android laptop modes.

Battery life and performance. (We haven’t had a chance to benchmark them yet). You also get 32GB of RAM and Intel Arc graphics. It’s a reasonable configuration, but those who want more powerful discrete graphics for gaming or content creation will need to look elsewhere.
I’ve listed the specs of the Station (Intel Windows PC) in the table below. The ThinkBook Plus G5 Tab has its own hardware: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, a Qualcomm Adreno GPU, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It also has its own 38.7 watt-hour battery. The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid’s full-size keyboard works well in both Windows laptop mode and Android laptop mode. It’s a high-quality keyboard. The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid has a 14-inch 2880×1800 OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Of course, it’s a touchscreen, and the touchscreen works in both Windows and Android modes.
There’s also a physical shutter switch above the webcam that blocks the webcam, which is a nice privacy feature.
The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid has a 75 watt-hourLenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid battery. In daily desktop use, its battery life is similar to many other Intel Core Ultra 7 155H laptops I’ve used.
The screen looks beautiful, which is not surprising for a 2.8K OLED display. However, some displays do have a higher refresh rate than 60Hz. Although it’s a glossy display, it’s bright enough to work well outdoors on a sunny dayLenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid: Webcam, Microphone, Biometrics
The Tab portion (aka the screen) of the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid has a 1080p webcam integrated into it. It’s a solid webcam that takes good pictures. You can also access AI-powered Windows Studio effects in any app for features like background blur and fake eye contact.

life is reasonable — though like most Intel Meteor Lake-powered PCs I’ve used, it doesn’t offer “all-day battery life” when using basic productivity apps like Microsoft Word, OneNote, Slack, and Google Chrome. To benchmark the Lenovo ThinkBook’s batterylife, we looped a 4K version of Tears of Steel in the Movies & TV app on Windows 11 with Airplane Mode enabled until the laptop automatically suspends. We set the screen brightness to 250 nits for our battery benchmark tests. The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid averaged 806 minutes in our battery life benchmark test. That’s almost 13 and a half hours. Of course, in real-world use, the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid laptop won’t last that long on battery. It’s worth noting that Lenovo says the Lenovo laptop’s battery life will be better when the laptop is used as an Android laptop rather than a Windows laptop. So when the battery gets low, you can switch to the Android experience to extend your usage time. Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid: Conclusion The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid is a really cool machine. I’m glad Lenovo is creating such an interesting and unique experience and bringing it to market. (I was also impressed by the dual-screen Lenovo Yoga Book 9i laptop that I reviewed earlier this year).
