Samsung is expected to launch a new A-series entry-level smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A14, in the coming weeks. Recently, we spotted the upcoming Galaxy A14 in the Geekbench benchmark database. The list of benchmarks for the device shows processor and memory details. Now, a new report from GalaxyClub has revealed the camera and battery specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A14.
Renders of the Samsung Galaxy A14 have previously leaked online, suggesting that Samsung will make some design changes to the upcoming entry-level A-series smartphone. Let’s take a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy A14 camera and battery specs.
Samsung Galaxy A14 may feature 50MP camera and 5000mAh battery
A report from GalaxyClub suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A14 will retain the high-resolution 50MP camera of its predecessor. For those unaware, the Galaxy A13 offers a quad-rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. However, Samsung may skip one of the sensors this time, as leaked renders show a triple rear camera setup on the Galaxy A14.
The report further claims that the Samsung Galaxy A14 will feature a 5,000mAh battery. That means we won’t see any upgrades compared to the Galaxy A13 when it comes to battery. The report also suggests that the upcoming A-series smartphones will offer a 13MP front-facing camera, which would be an upgrade compared to the 8MP sensor on the Galaxy A13.
Samsung Galaxy A14: What we know so far
The Samsung Galaxy A14 recently appeared in the Geekbench benchmark database, which revealed the presence of a MediaTek Helio G80 processor and Mali G52 GPU. The Helio G80 is a fairly old processor used in several smartphones such as the Redmi 9 Prime, POCO M2, Realme Narzo 10 and Tecno Pova.
The Galaxy A14 has been confirmed to retail in a 4GB RAM configuration. However, it is also expected to launch in a 6GB RAM configuration. The phone will come with Android 13-based OneUI out of the box.
Renders of the upcoming Galaxy A14 have leaked online, which suggests that the device will feature a triple rear camera setup. Samsung seems to have ditched the rectangular camera module design, and the rear panel looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy A04s.
The leaked renders also show that the upcoming Galaxy A14 will feature an all-screen display with a waterdrop notch and a big chin. The smartphone will use a Type-C charging port and will also offer a 3.5mm audio jack.
