There are many factors that can affect your laptop battery, reducing its charging performance. We limited the most prevalent causes to three main issues: power cord issues, programming glitches/software glitches, and degraded battery health.
Power Cord Problems ·
Important components work together to effectively control your laptop. Many laptop chargers have a 2-in-1 adapter, one that attaches to the wall and the other that connects to your laptop. If both are safely associated, and your laptop’s charging light doesn’t come on, you may be running into a defective power cord.
Software failure ·
Windows 10 has proven to be one of the most self-contained working frameworks in laptop history. When internal issues arise, it is ready to analyze itself and can initiate major updates to ensure your product’s integrity is exceptional. Still, it sometimes misses things. Programming glitches occur when your PC drive ages. Outdated drivers can force your laptop to close the adapter’s capacity. Reinstalling the battery driver is a quick and straightforward solution to this type of problem.

Before the battery failed, did you notice your laptop starting to:
Overheating while charging

However, the test is not difficult at all: remove the battery from the laptop and try to run the laptop with the adapter. If you can use the laptop for two or three hours without any issues, then the connector is clearly fine.
Clear battery contacts. Since you’ve removed the battery in any case, make sure the battery connection and laptop are spotless. Replace the battery and charge it again.
