As a veteran mobile phone company, Motorola is still active in the mobile phone market after going through ups and downs. What many people don’t know is that Motorola also has a certain accumulation of technology in 5G . Motorola has joined hands with Vi (Vodafone Idea) to introduce 5G technology to India, and tested the 5G frequency band of 3350 to 3400MHz through mainstream smartphones in New Delhi.
To lead the way, Motorola has added support for all India-specific 5G frequency bands on its smartphones, media reported. The partnership between the two companies aims to develop an ecosystem of 5G devices that will allow Vi’s customers to upgrade to 5G-enabled smartphones in preparation for the launch of Vi’s 5G service. However, Vi has yet to disclose specific details about the public launch of its 5G service. At present, the Indian market does not lack 5G construction players. For example, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio are actively launching 5G services in India. Vi chose to cooperate with Motorola, obviously hoping to compete with the above-mentioned telecom companies.
Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer of Vi, said: “We believe this partnership will help develop an ecosystem of 5G devices and help more Vi customers upgrade to 5G-enabled premium smartphones in a timely manner.”
The partnership between Motorola and Vi is an important step in bringing 5G technology to India. As 5G will revolutionize the way we use and access the internet, this form of collaboration will help bring 5G technology to more people, help bridge the digital divide and enhance the overall user experience.
