Recently, Huawei released its 2022 annual report. The news shows that Huawei’s overall operation is stable, with a global sales revenue of 642.3 billion yuan and a net profit of 35.6 billion yuan. Facing the future, Huawei will continue to increase R&D investment. In 2022, R&D investment will reach 161.5 billion yuan, accounting for 25.1% of the annual revenue. The cumulative R&D expenses invested in ten years will exceed 977.3 billion yuan.

Specifically, in 2022, Huawei will achieve sales revenue of 284 billion yuan in the operator business field, Huawei’s enterprise business will achieve sales revenue of 133.2 billion yuan, and the terminal business will achieve sales revenue of 214.5 billion yuan. Among the key businesses, the digital energy revenue was 50.8 billion, the cloud computing business was 453 yuan, and the smart car solution component business was 2.1 billion.

Xu Zhijun, rotating chairman, said at the financial report: “Looking back on 2022, the severe external environment and non-market factors will continue to affect the company’s operations. Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s chief financial officer, said: “In 2022, operations will still face greater pressure. Overall, operating performance is in line with expectations. At the end of 2022, Huawei’s asset-liability ratio was 58.9%, and its net cash balance was 176.3 billion yuan, nearly ten thousand yuan. Among the total assets of RMB 100 million, high-liquidity assets such as cash, short-term investment, and operating assets constitute the main part of the assets, and the financial situation continues to be stable, with strong resilience and flexibility. In 2022, the total research and development expenses will be RMB 161.5 billion, The R&D expense ratio is 25.1%, which is at a historically high level.
